Description
This tour will first take you the slopes of the roof of Africa, mount Kilimanjaro, on a trek from Moshi to the Materuni waterfall, to later culminate with visiting the Kikuletwa hot springs.
Day 1 – We will pick you up at your hotel in Moshi and will bring you to Materuni village to start the hike.
We will take you on a route of approximately two hours through coffee and banana plantations and different species of trees to the mesmerizing Materuni waterfall. On the way back to Materuni village we will visit a “Chaga” village where we will experience and taste the local coffee. The coffee man will show the techniques the “Chaga” people employ to brew coffee. From the seeds to the leaf, tree, flowers and fruit and coffee. Then we will have some fun times on the villages and enjoy a nice lunch with the “Chaga” people. Later we will drop you at your hotel.
Day 2 – We will pick you up in the morning and bring you to Kikuletwa (Chemka) hot springs for a swim and some diving. You will enjoy a nice picnic lunch on this beautiful oasis and then we will drive you back to Arusha for dinner and overnight in the hotel.
