Traditional healer are a big part of the Tanzanian culture. Even if Western medicine has been introduced in Tanzania most people will visit a traditional healer before visiting a hospital. Traditional healing is also the only option where medical facilities are not reachable and some of these people can do wonders with their knowledge of plants.
A Tanzanian traditional healer needs to be registered and recognized by the government as the same knowledge that can be used to heal can also be used to harm. Our traditional healing tour will take you to visit one of the traditional healers around Lushoto where he will explain you about the traditional healing tradition in Tanzania and will perform a healing of your choice in you.
Pick up will be at your hotel at around 19:30 or 13:00, depend if you chose to do the traditional healing session in the morning or evening and you will walk through local houses until you arrive to the traditional healer house.
Your guide will serve as a translator and will support you in all the process.
